Synopsis
A lonesome loader droid wanders through the wastelands of a ruined world on a mysterious mission when he is stopped by mechanical zealots.
About the Project
Atone is a sci-fi 2d animated short film project created by Joseph Daniel Rodriguez as a companion piece for a much larger narrative, spanning multiple stories and other projects, such as Ghost of the Deadlands.
It follows the story of a loader droid, created by humans, before a mysterious “Great Calamity” that ended the human race. He wanders through the ruined mega-structures of a post human world with a large mysterious canister strapped to his back.
The project was completed in January 2022, and took over a month to complete.
SOUND DESIGN
Dorian Britton composed the soundtrack for the 3 minute sci-fi short film. He is a modern universalist, composer, instrumentalist, songwriter and audio engineer.
Dorian also helped mix the final audio for the film along with his custom soundtrack.
