PLOT
A young girl enters a virtual simulation, in which she has to save her brethren, the Jews, from the hands of an evil businessman, Haman.
The story is a re-telling of the biblical narrative of Esther.
ABOUT
Joseph was commissioned to create this 30 minute video by Ben Burton for the messianic congregation Beit HaDerekh. Every year, Beit would create their own fun video for Purim; the Jewish holiday that celebrates the story of Esther.
In early 2016, Joseph got started writing the script, and by February of that year, all his friends got together to begin filming.
Behind the scenes
A large majority of the scenes in this film were shot on a green screen. Post production took Joseph a year and a half to complete because of the large amount of VFX.
all of the visual effects were created by Joseph in Adobe After effects, and Blender.
Soundtrack
Because this story was created as an homage to The Matrix, the soundtrack used in this short film was from the movie itself.
